About the artist

Max Langborne is a self-taught Australian abstract artist working on the Gold Coast. His large-scale paintings combine subtle tonal grounds and instinctive, free-flowing marks in pencil, charcoal and oil pastel with bold blocks of colour, drawing on influences such as Cy Twombly and Teddy Millington-Drake.
