Chasing You - 137x137cm

Fields of chalk white and soft grey give way to a sweep of caramel and taupe that curls through the canvas like a current. A single block of saffron at the top edge and fine black veining pull the eye across the surface, so the work reads as calm from a distance and restless up close.

Conchita Carambano
Australian Artist, Mixed Media Specialist

Conchita Carambano's style is highly recognisable and yet profoundly enigmatic. There is an elegance and a maturity in her abstract paintings, infused by an instinctive gift with colour, line and form, and the Australian landscape has been a constant source of inspiration. Awards, acquisitions, civic and corporate commissions, solo exhibitions and the attention of private collectors in Australia, Asia and the Middle East punctuate a career that continues to gather momentum.
