SOHO Galleries represents a curated group of Contemporary Australian artists. Browse the painters below to see current artworks, read about each artist’s practice, and buy Australian art online or in person. We work with established and emerging artists painting within contemporary and classical traditions. Each canvas is a one-off original artwork. Our consultants can help with framing, room placement, delivery, and installation, with most of the artists we represent available for private commissions.

Original Australian Paintings for Sale
SOHO Galleries has bought and sold Australian paintings out of Sydney for more than 30 years. Our painters work across abstraction, landscape, figurative, and still life, and the collection turns over regularly as exhibitions close and new pieces arrive. If a painter’s page looks thin today, it’s worth checking back in a few weeks.
If you want to buy Australian art in Sydney and aren’t sure where to start, our consult and design service is free. Tell us the room and the budget, and we’ll shortlist paintings that actually fit the space rather than just the brief. We handle framing, delivery, and installation as part of the same service, and several of our painters take private commissions if you need something in a specific size or palette.
Australian contemporary art right now spans a lot of ground. We carry large abstract statement pieces built for open-plan living rooms, quieter figurative and still life work suited to a single wall, and landscape painting that’s stayed close to its traditional roots. Established and emerging painters sit side by side in the collection, so it doesn’t lean too hard in any one direction.
