Sculpture
Limited Edition Sculpture by Australian Artists
Editions of ten or fewer, cast or fabricated by the artist, with provenance documentation.
The craftsmanship and permanence of original sculpture at a more accessible price than a unique work. Bronze, stainless, fabricated metal and glass.
What an edition means
Original work, made in a defined run.
An edition is not a reproduction. Each cast is made from the artist’s mould and finished by hand, which is why no two are quite identical.
01
Edition size
Most of our sculptors work in runs of ten or fewer. A smaller edition means greater scarcity, and it shows in how the work holds value.
02
Numbering
Works are numbered and signed by the artist, usually stamped into the base or the underside, along with the foundry mark where relevant.
03
Provenance
Every purchase comes with a certificate of authenticity recording the artist, title, edition number, materials, dimensions and year.
Limited edition and interior sculpture
Many of our sculptors cast or fabricate in limited runs, typically editions of ten or fewer. Limited edition works give collectors the craftsmanship and permanence of original sculpture at a more accessible price than a unique work, and they hold value well. We can advise on edition size, remaining availability and provenance documentation for any work in our collection.
Materials and where they suit
Bronze ages well and holds up indefinitely outdoors, which makes it a practical choice for garden, courtyard and entry positions. Stainless and fabricated metal read cleaner and more contemporary, and change noticeably with the light through the day. Glass and mixed media editions generally belong indoors. We will tell you plainly which material suits the position you have in mind.
Buying with the long term in view
We are not financial advisors. What we can tell you is which Australian sculptors are building serious careers, how a particular edition has moved over the years we have handled it, and how many of a run are left. Low numbers in a small edition by an artist with a growing exhibition record are usually the works that appreciate. See our advisory service if you want that conversation in full.
Siting, plinths and care
Every sale includes advice on siting, pedestal, maintenance and long term care. Where a work needs a base we design and fabricate custom plinths matched to the piece, and for larger works we handle installation across the Sydney metro area, including Mosman, Clontarf, Double Bay, Bondi, Manly and Cronulla.
