Before you commit to anything.

Art changes through the day as the light moves. That is exactly the thing a gallery wall cannot show you.

In home trial

We bring shortlisted pieces to your home, hang them, and leave you time to sit with the work before you decide. No pressure.

Digital visualisation

We place shortlisted works onto a photograph of your wall at true scale, so you can judge size and palette accurately from anywhere.

Plans & elevations

For projects still under construction we work from architectural drawings and finishes schedules and render works to scale on the elevation.

In home art trials across Sydney

If you are considering a purchase and want to see a work in your own light, with your own furniture, we can bring shortlisted pieces to your home. We will hang the work properly rather than leaning it against a wall, because a leaning canvas tells you almost nothing about how it will read once it is up. Available across the Sydney metro area, including Mosman, Clontarf, Double Bay, Bondi, Manly and Cronulla.

What a visualisation actually shows you

Scale is the thing people get wrong most often, and it is the hardest to judge from a listing photograph. A work that looks generous on screen can disappear on a large wall. We photograph the wall, correct for perspective, and place the work at its true dimensions so you are comparing like with like. Palette is the second thing: seeing a work against your actual paint colour, joinery and floor removes most of the guesswork.

Our consultants work with private collectors, interior designers, architects and developers to find artwork that fits your space, your budget and your aesthetic. You decide how much or how little involvement you need: a single recommendation, a curated shortlist, or a full project brief. How many works can I trial at once?

Usually two or three. More than that and the room starts making the decision harder rather than easier. We would rather shortlist carefully before the visit.

What if I am not in Sydney?

We produce digital visualisations instead. Send a straight on photograph of the wall with a known measurement in frame, such as a door or a sofa, and we will place shortlisted works at true scale.

Do you hang the work during a trial?

Yes. Leaning a canvas against the wall tells you very little. We hang it at the right height so you are judging the work the way you will actually live with it.

Can you work from architectural plans?

Yes. For projects under construction we work from elevations, floor plans and finishes schedules, and render shortlisted works to scale on the drawing.
