For Glassborow, bronze is the ultimate material. Its life surpasses any other medium; a creative thought today, cast into bronze, could still be here a thousand years from now.  sculptures possess a power of delusion as they delight in their interpretations of the world around us.

Emphatically playful and frequently deriving their inspiration from phrases of popular culture, one can recognize the influence of Art Deco and Greco/Roman figurative sculpture in Stephen’s work – however, he retains a very contemporary perspective.
