Conchita Carambano - ART STATEMENT

An Australian artist of Spanish origin, Conchita's exquisite multi-layered artworks are akin to a musical dance. Punctuations and tones of voice take on forms Inspired by a continued interest in the means by which people communicate with each other. Conchita Carambano interprets what she hears with dramatic staccato applications of colour, tempered with languid trails of delicate lines, which drift seductively across the canvas.

Conchita Carambano’s textured paintings are filled with a fusion of light, a nuance of playfulness in abstracted figures etched into the canvas. No
canvas is alike even with the restraint of pallet in some works.

Conchita’s art career has consolidated with her progressive reputation as an established, collectable artist. Her work creates a strongly individual interpretation of her natural surroundings and experiences. Her painting technique, refined over 40 years with elegance and maturity. Conchita’s abstract paintings infused by an instinctive gift of line and form. The Australian landscape, our earth, has been a constant source of inspiration.

Her vehicle for expression has been boundary-less, and the potency of her work has fuelled an extraordinary career that continues to gather momentum. Awards, acquisitions, civic and corporate commissions, solo exhibitions and the attention of private collectors in Australia, Asia and the Middle East.
