ABOUT ALEXANDRA

International artist Alexandra Spyratos was born in Nairobi, Kenya. She lives and works in her international studios, painting for exhibitions worldwide. With a 30 career and 42 world solo shows behind her, Alexandra has become well known internationally with clients and collectors such as James Cameron, Luciano Benetton, Paul Hogan, Linda Kowalski, Prince Shyllon and Domitilla Peugeot.

Influenced by her colorful background, translating the heat and the exotic beauty of the African wildlife to canvas has become Spyratos' passion and spiritual goal. It is this deep inspiration from the heart of Africa that has emerged in Alexandra's painting of the wildlife and has evolved into a style that straddles all genre and is uniquely her own.

Her medium sees a diverse direction evolving into the elegance and glamour of gold, silver and copper leaf combined with the fluorescence. The combination is dynamic and adds a fresh and energetic dimension to her art, aptly termed as "Bohemian Chic".

Alexandra's career as a professional artist spans thirty years with fourty-two solo shows behind her including Miami, New York, Geneva, Zurich, Sydney, Melbourne, Milan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Uganda, Kenya, South Africa, Greece, Portugal and Spain.

Alexandra is also a prolific muralist, creating murals worldwide and more recently being involved in volunteer work with C.I.S.P,borntoflycharity.org, leopardess foundation and Tsavo Trust, painting murals with school children in Kenya, educating in conservation through art.

Through her art she supports various charities including African Rainforest Conservancy (New York), C.I.S.P, African Leaf, Byron Bay Breast Cancer Support Group, Malindi Breast Cancer Support Group, Leopardess Foundation, Space for Giants, Sheldrick Foundation, Tsavo Trust and Borntoflycharity.org.
