KRSTANOSKI-BLAZESKI, ‘Blaz’

Born in Ohrid, Macedonia, Blaze trained as a mechanical engineer before moving to Australia and completing a Bachelor of Fine Art (Sculpture) at Sydney’s National Art School.
Blaze’s works have featured in solo exhibitions locally and internationally, including Seoul, Paris and Macedonia.  His sculptures have been included in Australia’s foremost sculptural festival, Sculpture by the Sea, five times in addition to group shows at Defiance Gallery, The Sculptors Society, Waverley Art Prize, Blacktown City Gallery and Stephanie Burns Fine Art, Canberra.
Blaze has won many prizes and special awards throughout his career, most recently winning the Mosman Festival of Sculpture, the Blacktown City Gallery’s Art Reference Group Prize and the Jaguar Artist’s Subsidy through Sculpture by the Sea.  Blaze has been commissioned by Macquarie Bank and the Wolli Creek/Rockdale Council to create works for outdoor spaces to be enjoyed by the public.
