Laundy, Greta

"I live and work in the beautiful Adelaide foothills from my dedicated home studio which, with its undulating hills and closeness to bushland, subtly inform my colourful and bold abstract paintings.
My paintings are inspired by my South Australian rural childhood and a love of wide open spaces; the experience of walking in paddocks for miles without encountering another soul and camping in the outback. These landscapes inhabit my memories and dreams and come to life on the canvas with intuitive compositional and palette choices. In these abstract landscape paintings I seek to evoke a sense of place and time while also connecting with the viewer’s own quiet and contemplative internal world. These are paintings of joy and love to enjoy over a lifetime."
