Conchita Carambano Artworks
Conchita Carambano’s abstract paintings are filled with a textural fusion of light & colour. Her works have a nuance of playfulness with abstracted figures and elements of the natural world etched into the canvas. No canvas is alike even with the restraint of pallet in some works.
An Australian artist of Spanish origin, Conchita’s exquisite multi-layered artworks are akin to a musical dance with colour inspired by a continued interest in the means by which people communicate with each other. Punctuations and tones of voice take on a musical form as Carambano interprets what she hears with dramatic staccato. Applications of colour, tempered with languid trails of delicate lines, drift seductively across the canvas.
Conchita has won numerous awards and prizes throughout her career and her works can be found in significant corporate and private collections throughout Australia & the world.

CONCHITA CARAMBANO
Born in Europe to Spanish parents, Conchita hails from Sydney after having migrated in 1969 where over the last twenty years she has proceeded to make her indelible mark upon the Australian and International art market.
Exhibiting extensively with numerous solo exhibitions and group shows to her name this painter has established herself as an abstract artist revered for her strongly individualised interpretations, and is regularly featured in art publications, reviews and art awards.
A favourite amongst the creative design industries, Conchita’s inspired interpretations elicit a boldly visceral response as this artist depicts her visions and thoughts, pushing inventiveness to the limit upon canvas and paper.
Utilising mixed media, oil, acrylic and wax, Conchita studies her environment and draws inspiration from nature to produce engaging artworks characterised by organic forms and a sensuous use of space, colour and symmetry.

Punctuations and tones of voice take on a musical form as Carambano interprets what she hears with dramatic staccato applications of colour, tempered with languid trails of delicate lines, which drift seductively across the canvas.
Conchita has won numerous awards and prizes throughout her career and her works can be found in significant corporate and private collections throughout Australia including:

‘Through a fusion of vibrant and unexpected colour, Ms Carambano generates a strongly individualized interpretation of her natural surroundings and experiences.’
Conchita Carambano’s textured paintings are filled with a fusion of light, colour and a dash of metallic leaf, and have a nuance of playfullness in abstracted figures etched into the canvas. No canvas is alike even with the restraint of pallet in some works.
Her work is full of the joy of the enchantment, working with paint and canvas.
Conchita’s art career has consolidated with her progressive reputation as an established, collectable artist. Her work creates a strongly individual interpretation of her natural surroundings and experiences. The painting technique has been refined over many years as a established career artist working with both canvas and paper mediums. The progress of the work is not determined by time as her painting schedule may take up 16 hours on any day. The colours, texture and content of her paintings have proven over time to be most intuitive, which explains her success with commissioned works including the National Canberra Library and the new Sydney Hilton.
Viewing her work is both absorbing and complex. The artwork is composed of layers, mixed medium detail, and subtleties of colour, light and form.
