"ABSTRACT PAINTINGS "
by
MIERTJE SKIDMORE

21-07-2012 - 10-08-2012

MS PROVOKED RESPONSE
( MIERTJE SKIDMORE)

Exhibition Comments:

MIERTJE SKIDMORE CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS

In a natural progression of over three decades, my art has been transformed by time and experiences into the abstract vibrant and somewhat explosive expressions they are now.

Inspiration comes from diverse, sometimes obscure moments, feelings, thoughts, sights etc; which are then adapted to varied luminous densities and layers of paint which express those responses in a personal way.

As always it brings me great satisfaction when others choose to share in my perceptions and art, either by merely observing or collecting my work in ever expanding parts of Australia and Overseas.

CONTEMPORARY ABSTRACT PAINTINGS

ALL THE BEST EXHIBITION 2011

Instincts are the guiding force in all living creatures whether human or animal. It's how we respond to others, and to our surroundings. It's our instincts that safely get us through our everyday situations in all their varying multitudes.Through the process of producing my art I endeavor to share my instinctive responses to the things I observe or experience in my life.
