Contemporary Sculpture at Soho Galleries & ArtPark Sculpture Exhibitions

Blaze Krstanoski-Blazeski is an artist based in Sydney, Australia. Born in Ohrid, Macedonia he studied engineering before moving to Australia and studying at the National Art School graduating with a BFA. He has spent his adult life making sculptures, working and travelling throughout the world with countless solo and group exhibitions to his name, nationally and internationally including Paris and Korea. In this context he has also had a broad experience making, working and co-coordinating both large and small projects, including his public work 'Wolli Dancing' based in Sydney's Wolli Creek. His works explore the nature of the metaphysical and infinite encompassed in his contemporary designs where connection and continuity are the central elements. He works in bronze and stainless steel. To this year more than 110 sculptures of Blaze's work have been privately and publicly commissioned.

Blaze's works have featured in solo exhibitions locally and internationally, including Seoul, Paris and Macedonia.  His sculptures have been included in Australia's foremost sculptural festival, Sculpture by the Sea, five times in addition to group shows at Defiance Gallery, The Sculptors Society, Waverley Art Prize, Blacktown City Gallery and Stephanie Burns Fine Art, Canberra.

Blaze has won many prizes and special awards throughout his career, most recently winning the Mosman Festival of Sculpture, the Blacktown City Gallery's Art Reference Group Prize and the Jaguar Artist's Subsidy through Sculpture by the Sea.  Blaze has been commissioned by Macquarie Bank and  the Wolli Creek/Rockdale Council to create works for outdoor spaces to be enjoyed by the public.

Statement:

My sculptures reflect the concept  of continuation of life into infinity  there is no beginning and no end. I like nature to be reflected  in my man-made sculpture and transferred to the  viewer. So nature, my sculpture and the viewer all become one .
