Mixed media on board framed
On 23rd September1863, two members of the Hall gang failed in an attempt to rob the bank at Carcoar. They then proceeded to hold up Hosie’s store; this was probably in retaliation for an attempted police capture of Frank Gardiner, friend of Ben Hall and fellow bushranger. The police officer involved was a relative of Hosie.
