Joanne Villani is an extraordinary artist with a zest for life that pours out into her creative works.
She began painting nearly fifteen years ago after growing frustrated at not being able to satisfy her clients’ needs for vibrant and colourful artwork. As a professional colour analyst and trainer for many years (both nationally and internationally), Joanne utilised these professional skills to create pieces of artwork with a depth of colour rarely seen.
With a husband in the building trade, Joanne seized the opportunity to “raid the shed” and from there has pioneered the use of new materials and unique application techniques that add original dimensions to her work.
In more recent times Joanne has spent significant time in Asia and has fallen in love with the history and diversity of their rich culture. This is evident in much of her work today, with the use of vibrant reds, washes of black and white, silver and gold leaf and the use of high gloss finishes.
Joanne is also well known for her use of large and unusual dimensioned canvases many of which are commissioned for corporate clientele.
