My work is about innovation, beauty and ideas in an abstract form.
Influences are drawn mostly the Sydney environment, its media and topical events in the here and now. Expressing my ideas onto the two dimensional static surfaces was a challenge unmet. Utilising skills learned as a mould maker and leather designer, I cut, shape laminate and paint marine plywood into sensuous and tactile three dimensional forms. These forms give my work depth, movement, and altering light.
I experience satisfaction and excitement each time I succeed in transforming my ideas into the visual realm and share this with my viewers.
