Krstanoski-Blazeski is an artist based in Sydney,
in Ohrid, Macedonia
he studied engineering before moving to Australia
and studying at the National
graduating with a BFA. He has spent his adult life making sculptures, working
and travelling throughout the world with countless solo and group exhibitions
to his name, nationally and internationally including Paris
In this context he has also had a broad experience making, working and co-coordinating
both large and small projects, including his public work 'Wolli Dancing' based
Wolli Creek. His works explore the nature of the metaphysical and infinite
encompassed in his contemporary designs where connection and continuity are the
central elements. He works in bronze and stainless steel. To this year more than
110 sculptures of Blaze's work have been privately and publicly commissioned.
Blaze's works have
featured in solo exhibitions locally and internationally, including Seoul, Paris and Macedonia.
His sculptures have been included in Australia's
foremost sculptural festival, Sculpture
by the Sea, five times in addition to group shows at Defiance
Gallery, The Sculptors Society, Waverley Art Prize, Blacktown City Gallery and
Stephanie Burns Fine Art, Canberra.
Blaze has won many
prizes and special awards throughout his career, most recently winning the
Mosman Festival of Sculpture, the Blacktown City Gallery's Art Reference Group
Prize and the Jaguar Artist's Subsidy through Sculpture by the Sea. Blaze
has been commissioned by Macquarie Bank and the Wolli Creek/Rockdale
Council to create works for outdoor spaces to be enjoyed by the public.
sculptures reflect the concept of
continuation of life into infinity there is no beginning and no end. I like
nature to be reflected in my man-made
sculpture and transferred to the viewer.
So nature, my sculpture and the viewer all become one .
